Pediatric Urology

Pediatric urology is a subspecialty of urology that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of urologic conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. This field focuses on surgical and medical treatments for conditions affecting the urinary and genital tracts, such as congenital anomalies, urinary tract infections, enuresis (bedwetting), and genital abnormalities. Pediatric urologists also treat more complex conditions, such as bladder exstrophy and disorders of sexual development. They work closely with other healthcare providers, including pediatricians, neonatologists, and nephrologists, to provide comprehensive care for their young patients.
